Alabama Texas A&M Injuries: Coleman-Williams, Green Out

Alabama listed wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams and defensive lineman Terrance Green out for its game against Texas A&M on Saturday, Oct. 24, according to Sports Illustrated. The Wednesday report also listed four other Crimson Tide players as questionable.

The teams are scheduled to meet in Tuscaloosa at 2:30 p.m. CT. Texas A&M’s Wednesday availability report had three players out and five questionable, giving both teams several listed absences and potential availability decisions ahead of kickoff.

Key Takeaways

  • Alabama’s Wednesday report listed Coleman-Williams and Green out, alongside four additional Crimson Tide players.
  • Texas A&M listed Terry Bussey, Kelshaun Johnson and Blake Ivy out, with five Aggies questionable.
  • Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer described Green as week-to-week, while ESPN’s Katie George reported Coleman-Williams had arthroscopic meniscus surgery.

Alabama Texas A&M Injuries Include Six Players Listed Out

Alabama’s Wednesday, Oct. 21, availability report listed Coleman-Williams, Green, Desmond Umeozulu, Cayden Jones, Nick Sherman and Jeremiah Beaman out. Zabien Brown, EJ Crowell, Fatutoa Henry and Racin Delgatty were listed as questionable.

The designations are a Wednesday snapshot under the SEC’s conference-game injury-report policy. The league’s process uses initial categories such as questionable and out, with game-day designations providing a later update to availability.

DeBoer said Brown and Crowell had lower-leg injuries and would be evaluated during the week. He expected Crowell to practice during the week, while saying Brown’s progress would be assessed as the week continued.

Delgatty, Alabama’s center, was listed as questionable after missing the previous game. DeBoer said Delgatty was progressing and described his status as week-to-week. Henry was also questionable on the Wednesday report.

Umeozulu, Jones, Sherman and Beaman were listed out. Sports Illustrated reported that Umeozulu had been dealing with turf toe and had not played since Alabama’s win over Florida State. The outlet also reported that Sherman was yet to make his Crimson Tide debut after sustaining an injury during a fall scrimmage.

Sports Illustrated reported that Jones would miss the 2026 season. Beaman was also expected to miss the season after tearing his ACL in practice before the opener, the outlet reported.

Coleman-Williams and Green Were Listed Out

Green aggravated an injury against Georgia and was unavailable for Alabama’s game against Tennessee, Sports Illustrated reported. DeBoer described Green as week-to-week, making the Wednesday designation consistent with the coach’s earlier update on the defensive lineman.

ESPN’s Katie George reported that Coleman-Williams underwent arthroscopic surgery for a meniscus injury. The Alabama wide receiver had been dealing with the injury for three weeks and was unavailable against Tennessee, Sports Illustrated reported.

DeBoer said he did not expect Coleman-Williams to practice throughout the week. The Wednesday report listed the receiver out against Texas A&M, while Green was also designated out after his aggravation against Georgia.

Texas A&M Had Three Players Listed Out

Texas A&M’s Wednesday report listed wide receivers Terry Bussey and Kelshaun Johnson, along with offensive lineman Blake Ivy, out. Mario Craver, DJ Hicks, Anto Saka, Daymion Sanford and Trovon Baugh were listed as questionable, Sports Illustrated reported.

The Aggies’ questionable group included two wide receivers, Craver and Saka, defensive linemen Hicks and Saka, linebacker Sanford and offensive lineman Baugh. More precisely, the report listed Craver at wide receiver, Hicks at defensive tackle, Saka at defensive end, Sanford at linebacker and Baugh at offensive line.

These are the initial designations published Wednesday, not game-day statuses. The SEC process allows the categories to change before kickoff, with game-day reports offering a later availability update.

Wednesday Availability Counts for Both Teams

Sports Illustrated’s Wednesday designations included six Alabama players out and four questionable. Texas A&M had three players out and five questionable in the same report snapshot.

Alabama is scheduled to host Texas A&M at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Oct. 24, with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. CT, Sports Illustrated reported.
